Description: Buffalo Ranch lies in Montana's Paradise Valley, a giant amphitheater surrounded by dramatic mountain vistas. The Yellowstone River flows here, sometimes rushing in white water dances, sometimes meandering peacefully across the valley floor; each mile holding nearly 3,000 rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout. Throughout the fly-fishing world it is a river known and revered.

A rich mixture of marl, sand and soil allows the valley's earth efficient drainage. Soon after a rain it seems dry, but that waterless appearance deceives, for only a few feet below the surface slubmers a great, untapped aquifer. Therein rests one of the valley's treasures, abundant and available water.

The secluded Buffalo Ranch site reposes on an almost hidden 1,600 ace piece of paradise, unrestricted by property lines and 25 miles removed from any urban intrusion; a perfect location in a “natural links” setting.

Peter Jacobsen, of Jacobsen-Hardy Design, summed it up when he said, “In all Buffalo Ranch years of designing golf courses, Buffalo Ranch've never seen a more natural site than the one at Buffalo Ranch. Its old-world charm reminds me of some of the great courses in Europe.

Because Buffalo Ranch hold dear Buffalo Ranch's natural setting with its abundant birds and wildlife, native grass and shrub enhancement began even before development. An outstanding sporting clays course a discreet distance from the golf links affords a pleasurable marriage of golf, shooting sports and fly-fishing. Once experienced, this place will never leave your memory.
