We purchased our fractional ownership at Private Quarters in 2007 and have thoroughly enjoyed our “home on the golf course at the lake” ever since. While we also have a wonderful second home in a resort community in Arizona that we love to visit, we find that it is a lot more pleasant to drive to Porto Cima when we want to take some time off to relax. We’ve never had a problem making a reservation that suited our needs. We are both avid golfers and have found Jack Nicklaus’ golf course to be one of the finest in the tri-state region, comparable to Prairie Dunes in Hutchinson, KS and Flint Hills National in Andover, KS, just to name a few. Porto Cima is not only a golfer’s delight, it is also a boater’s paradise and good thing we don’t own one or we would never want to leave. The clubhouse is exceptional with a professional and gracious staff and a superb chef. And, we would be remiss if we didn’t give a special acknowledgement to the concierge and property managers at Private Quarters, Bob and Becca; they are simply the best at what they do. Everyone we’ve met who has a place at Porto Cima has been friendly and welcoming and we always manage to befriend a couple or two each time we visit.
The entire Porto Cima development complex is beautifully laid out and convenient, either by boat or car, to all of the shopping (the Osage Beach Premium Outlet is a must), dining and entertainment in the area. The area is chock full of great restaurants and some of our favorites include The Duck, JB Hooks and the Potted Steer. We also enjoy hanging out in any of the many popular sports bars and dance clubs such as The City Grill, Horny Toad, Topsider and Jeremiah’s.
The Private Quarters residences are nestled in a grove of trees overlooking the 18th fairway between the yacht/swim club and clubhouse and are stylishly decorated featuring two master bedroom suites. We enjoy inviting guests to stay with us when we go because the living arrangements work out so well for everyone. The open living area and deck are also conducive for socializing after a round of golf or before going out to dinner.
One terrific additional bonus that comes with our Private Quarter’s ownership is the Signature Gold Unlimited membership to ClubCorp. We have been able to play many primo golf courses in our travels (we are looking forward to playing the Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland this year). Getting on some of these courses is a major benefit in itself, let alone being able to play them at a fraction of the cost.
For us, since we already own a resort home in Arizona and we love to travel, Private Quarters Club at Porto Cima is a great way to experience a quality vacation without having to purchase a third home that we would only use occasionally anyway.
