We are having a marvelous time at Hale Nani. Surfing was a total hit with the kids yesterday. We talked Caroline into doing it and both kids did a group lesson for 1.5 hours ($68 each), which was perfect. They had enough instructors in the water that they each had what amounted to a private lesson.

We shopped at the local market afterwards and brought home the passion fruit butter, Kona coffee, local honey and some great fruit and vegetables. We also picked up some snapper from Bite Me Market.

Golf at Mauna Lani was incredible. Since we got the most reduced fees by playing late in the day, it was the same price as Waikoloa. Mauna Lani is definitely a preferred course, too: great design, tournament condition, very playable, just beautiful. Oh, did I mention I shot an 85, with 9 pars!!! (This is my best golf in years - days of my youth returning!!)

Merriman's was a treat: great food, friendly service and a scenic drive - a great recommendation from our Host. We're now thinking about a zip-line tour.

Yvonne and I are very happy with the house. The maid service is flawless. I think the website's photos understate the beauty and spaciousness of this property. This is every bit a top-notch Quintess property - in other words, just like home. It would be great to bring our friends who are Members too and book two Quintess home together for a week.
