Our trip to Cabo was one of the best, if not THE best family vacation we have ever had. We have traveled extensively abroad and within the US, so this is quite a compliment.
Once we had our dates set, PTW were great at putting together all the paperwork, airport transfer to the resort, etc. We had everything set well ahead of our vacation. The resort itself was incredible. The villa was absolutely gorgeous! The view from our terrace was the gorgeous swimming pools, and beyond that, was the Sea of Cortez, and the familiar Land's End rocks at the tip of Baja. We also purchased the meal plan while we were there. It was expensive, but the food was outstanding. We have never been to a place where we never got tired of the food! Our servers were friendly and very attentive to our needs. We had lunch at the swim-up bar every day while we were there, and La Casona had really superb food.
As a matter of fact, all the employees, from reception, to activities to even the pool attendants were friendly and attentive. We are very interested in returning, after our wonderful week. None of us wanted to come home!

Not only did we find the villa and resort to be absolutely breathtaking, but everyone we spoke to was friendly and beyond helpful.
We enjoyed the villa and resort in its entirety, and we also went off campus to explore and participate in manta ray snorkeling, zip lining, and surf lessons.
Janet, our Personal Travel Advisor and Concierge, streamlined all of our travel plans by coordinating air and ground transportation, and she even handled all of our concierge needs from dinner reservations to tee times! The phone rang the moment we landed, and the Property Manager welcomed us to Hawaii, and promised to greet us at check in, and escort us to the villa. This was a great comfort after a 12 hour flight from the east coast. Another trademark move that Private Trade Winds is known for.
From the day I arrived I easily fell in love with the Big Island, and have been brainstorming ways to return!

Undoubtedly one of the most organized trips we have ever taken. Private Trade Winds thinks of all the details!
AMAZING – our family continues to enjoy the fascinating places that PTW recommends without disappointment. This trip was a bonding experience with nature. Even the large comic looking raccoons and anteaters would greet us nightly for dinner! The kids screamed with joy and played daily at the private beach enjoying a new water sport every day. We felt so safe because this small resort occupied the whole natural cove. It was like a movie or a dream – the water was crystal clear and very peaceful.
A private dock allowed everyone to fish and snorkel – such amazing fish. The villa was breathtaking and extremely spacious which we enjoyed with friends. Food, fun and laughter all day long and amazing dinners on the beach, BBQ at home and even a yacht trip to see the amazing Costalegre coast, which we were unfamiliar with. We were only gone for 4 nights but it felt like a week of heaven! Can't wait for the next adventure.
I have been coming to Capri for years and I have stayed at all the best; Quisisana, Capri Palace, JK, you name it.
The Private Trade Winds property blows them all away. I have rented private homes before and unless the staff is competent, it can be a nightmare. I did not miss the 5-star hotel service for one second. The PTW staff is truly, truly amazing. I can see PTW hand picks them all. These are professionals and they really knew how to make us feel at "home" and with the kind of service we expect, whether it's getting some food at 1am, ice for my drink at 2am or coffee at 5am, the staff was just awesome.
The Villa, on the other hand, leaves me speechless. I am convinced there is no better home on the island, period. Private, spacious, elegant, and my list of adjectives could go on and on. I don't know what else to say except you have to see it and experience it to believe it.
