Portico, on the heels of their recent one-year anniversary, has just announced a partnership with MasterCard. As a result of this announcement, MasterCard cardholders can now enjoy access to Portico's growing collection of over 200 luxury homes in 65 destinations with exclusive discounts and special benefits.
The partnership with Portico and MasterCard includes two primary components. First, starting immediately, all World Elite MasterCard cardholders can receive a complimentary Portico membership (a savings of $2,500). In addition, their annual Portico membership fees will be deferred until the cardholder books their first trip with Portico. This is a great opportunity to try out Portico offerings risk-free.
The second component of the partnership includes all MasterCard cardholders, not just World Elite cardholders. All MasterCard cardholders receive an annual one-time use guest pass as well as a $250 travel credit when their pay their annual Portico membership fee using their MasterCard (guest passes do have some restrictions on destinations and travel dates). This announcement with Portico doesn't affect the existing MasterCard Priceless Cities program, which provides registered MasterCard cardholders access to special experiences in major cities across the globe – including access to concerts, museums, restaurants, and sporting events. According to MasterCard, the Portico benefit and the MasterCard Priceless Cities programs complement each other and are another way to for them to add value to cardholders beyond financial transactions.
This announcement follows the news of Portico being named to the Departures 100 from Departures Magazine, as well as the recent addition of brand-new Portico properties in Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, Palmetto Bluff, SC, and Lake Geneva, WI.
