Luxury hotel brands have some of the most high profile private residence clubs on offer. The rich history and high brand visibility that the luxury hotels have amassed over the years can give their Private Residence Club an edge over others. If you buy into one of their clubs you will know all that the brand has to offer in terms of standards and service. We compare four of these Private Residence Clubs offered by luxury hotel brands, Fairmont Heritage Place, Four Seasons Residence Club, St. Regis Residence Club and the Ritz-Carlton Club.
Fairmont Heritage PlaceFairmont Heritage Place offers various combinations of one, two, three and four bedroom homes and provides owners with access to luxury amenities and world class service. Fairmont Heritage Place owns the Franz Klammer Lodge a ski-in, ski-out property located in the mountain village of Telluride and the Acapulco Diamante positioned on the Revolcadero Beach in Acapulco, Mexico. Other destinations which are currently being developed include San Francisco and Southampton, Bermuda, and other global locations such as Dubai are also planned. Owners of this Private Residence Club automatically become members of the Fairmont President's Circle giving them privileged access to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts worldwide. They can also choose to exchange their vacation time with other Fairmont Heritage Place properties and can send unaccompanied guests to enjoy their vacation time. Additional benefits include valet parking, 24 hour concierge, housekeeping and storage space for personal effects and sporting equipment until required during the next vacation season. Fairmont Heritage Place also offers financing to cover the cost of purchase at competitive mortgage rates.
Four Seasons Residence ClubThe Four Seasons Residence Club is comprised of six select locations Aviara, Scottsdale, Punta Mita, Jackson Hole, Vail and Peninsula Papagayo. Before members even arrive for their scheduled annual vacation an activity planner contacts them and plans their stay. Service for each residence includes; stocking the refrigerator with groceries of choice, in-house dining or customized meals prepared by a chef, and personal storage service for skis and photographs. Full housekeeping and business support services are examples of some of the other services offered by this prestigious club. The club caters to families with children, starting with babysitting and special games in each clubhouse to the 'Kids For All Seasons Program'. Four Seasons also just announced a partnership with Walt Disney to build a new residence club at Walt Disney World.

Members also have access to amenities such as fitness facilities and the Remède Spa. St Regis plans to launch two new clubs during 2007 in Punta Mita, Mexico and Scottsdale, Arizona.
Ritz-Carlton ClubThe Ritz-Carlton Club offers the largest selection of premium Private Residence Clubs, with 8 clubs either opened or due to open and four more locations that have been announced. The current clubs range from Kapalua Bay in Hawaii to Aspen Highlands in Aspen to St Thomas in the Virgin Islands. A typical two-bedroom residence covers approximately 1,627 square feet while a three-bedroom covers 1,911 square feet. Membership prices vary according to location and residence type. Ownership periods are generally 3 to 5 weeks and prices can range from US $144,000 to $850,000 per interest. Ritz-Carlton Club members can exchange a portion of their allocated yearly vacation period with other communities within the club and also enjoy privileged access to Ritz-Carlton hotels. Dedicated staff members provide elevated levels of personalized service starting by arranging an itinerary, to placing personal items in the residence before an owners arrival, to help with unpacking. Each location may also offer unique amenities for instance the residences in Jupiter, Florida also have private outdoor splash pools and outdoor kitchens with barbecue grills and sinks.
We expect to see this sector continue to expand, with all the above groups launching new locations and other luxury hotels, such as Raffles, launching their own Private Residence Clubs.
