The former Major League Baseball pitcher Dennis Rasmussen has signed on with luxury residence fund Equity Estates. Based out of Orlando, Florida, Rasmussen will leverage his involvement with the MLB Players Association alumni arm as well as other professional athlete organizations to expand Equity Estates reach in those markets.

This involvement, as well as his strong work ethic, competitive drive and business savvy will have an enormous impact on our efforts to attract new owner members."

Many of the destination clubs have current or former professional athletes and coaches as members. Just last month Ritz-Carlton Destination Club announced a partnership with golfer Annika Sorenstam. Steve Young and Doc Rivers are members at Ultimate Escapes and tennis player Tim Henman is an ambassador for the Hideaways Club. These high profile individuals help bring new members on board, and the athletes value the privacy that the club vacations provide compared to hotel stays or villa rentals.
